Poem 1

Daniela Cohen

First Poem

Stressed, thriving for relaxation.
First weeks back at school, why am I so stressed?
School than work, need a moment to myself.
Even with days off, it never feels enough.

Wish I could go for a run, not sure where but I want to run.
Want the feeling of the wind brushing through my hair.
Let off some steam, breathe some air.
I want to shrug off this stress, like a heavy coat.
What do I do? Where do I go?

Even with my sleep, it never feels better.
A nice open space, some kind of weather.
I need a vacation although summer just ended,
Some peace and quite, now that sounds splendid.
